Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and energetic Activities Director to lead and coordinate engaging programs that enhance the quality of life for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and a talent for organizing meaningful activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being. Key Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and implement a diverse calendar of activities including games, arts & crafts, music, exercise, outings, and special events. Tailor programs to meet the interests and abilities of residents, including those in memory care. Collaborate with other departments to support holistic resident care. Maintain accurate records of participation and program effectiveness. Supervise and train activity assistants and volunteers. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to resident engagement. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, or related field preferred). Minimum 1–2 years of experience in senior living, healthcare, or recreation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to lead group activities and motivate participation. Knowledge of dementia care and therapeutic programming is a plus. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
